Polka Dots

By Cameron

Polka dots are one of those trends that can be reinterpreted for any season. Since the trend is so versatile and classic, it tends to resurface every once in a while with a fresh new take. This fall, it’s all about taking the fun of a dotted pattern and incorporating it into more elevated, sophisticated pieces. We love seeing polka dots paired with fall colors and materials such as cashmere, tweed, and denim. This season, polka dots will take you from the office, to a cocktail party, to running errands on the weekend!

  • Cozy in Polka Dots

This cozy cashmere sweater by Equipment is a bold take on the polka-dot trend. This season, we’re seeing larger, more geometric polka dot patterns in addition to more classic, tiny, dotted prints. This black and ivory polka-dot sweater is fun and sophisticated, and it can easily be dressed up or down.

  • Polka-Dot Sweater Dress

This cashmere sweater dress by Chinti and Parker is another great way to show off a modern polka-dot pattern. We love the combination of the navy polka dots on top of the rust color. The wide spacing of the polka dots keep the dress from looking too busy.

  • Pretty in Polka Dots

This polka-dot dress by Milly has so many unique and unexpected details. The dress flawlessly combines three different polka-dot patterns on top of contrasting materials. We love the pairing of mesh and tweed and how the varying sizes of the polka dots match the weight of the different materials. This dress is a great way to show off your personal style at an office event or holiday party!

  • Patterned Jeans

If you look closely, these Paige Denim jeans are covered in tiny diamonds, rather than polka dots. Perhaps a sophisticated evolution of the tried-and-true dotted print? We love everything about these jeans, from the color, to the pattern, to the cut. They’re a great weekend staple – throw on a button-down shirt and ankle boots, and you’re good-to-go!
