Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad

We were introduced to Lauren Conrad years ago when Laguna Beach (and then The Hills) debuted, but this LA fashionista’s style has really evolved since then! Lauren has taken her signature laid-back, California style (and famous blond locks) everywhere from fashion design, beauty blogging, to book-writing, and we’re excited to see what this style-savvy entrepreneur has in store for us next. For now, we always enjoy keeping up with the latest beauty trends on The Beauty Department, the site that LC co-founded with her makeup artist. Lauren’s fashion line, Paper Crown, is a favorite at CakeStyle as well – we currently have some of her gorgeous pieces in stock! We love Lauren Conrad’s style, because she’s never afraid to pioneer a new trend – she was the first to dip-dye the ends of her long hair, starting the ombre-hair craze. She’s always on top of the latest fashion trends as well, while remaining true to her polished-yet-laid-back, feminine-yet-edgy style. See some of our favorite Lauren Conrad style shots below.

Casual Cool

Casual Cool

In this street-style shot, Lauren shows off her casual-cool side with skinny jeans and a striped top. The leather satchel, wedges, and aviators insert just the right amount of style you’re looking for when out and about running errands.

Graphic Florals

Graphic Florals

Graphic floral prints are huge for Spring 2013, and LC’s flirty, fit-and-flare dress is a fun take on the trend. The dress’s shape is a signature for her, and the primary colors in the pattern contrast wonderfully with the darker undertones.

Leather A-Line

Leather A-Line

Another trend that Lauren tries in a fit-and-flare option is this leather dress that she wore to her book signing this past fall. A leather dress is a bold, edgy choice, which is sometimes too intense in a tighter silhouette. Lauren keeps the look fresh and feminine with the flared shape.

Tracy Reese Sheath

Tracy Reese Sheath

Here, Lauren poses in a green sheath dress by another of our favorite designers, Tracy Reese. The dress is a little on the preppy side of what she normally wears, but she makes the style her own by adding a cross-body bag and a top bun.

Airport Chic

Airport Chic

Don’t we all wish we looked this good at the airport? Lauren travels in style in skinny jeans, a classic white button-down, and a menswear-inspired blazer. Her look reads casual, yet polished and put-together.
